Atomic Clock

The screen goes dark while it is in WWVA atomic receiving status. Your clock receives WWVB signals several times a day. The search for a radio signal lasts up to 7 minutes with the antenna symbol displaying on the screen. Meanwhile, the backlight brightness will automatically adjust to 3%. After the receiving completes, the brightness will go back to your default 100% or 50%, and all other functionalities resume.

The screen goes dark while it is in WWVA atomic receiving mode, and so does the projection display. Your clock receives WWVB signals several times a day. The search for a radio signal lasts up to 7 minutes with the antenna symbol displaying on the screen. Meanwhile, the projection will automatically be off. After the receiving completes, projection will come back on, and all other functionalities resume.

Your clock has atomic function which will set and adjust the time automatically daily. All you need to do is to choose the correct time zone. If not, the clock will always adjust to the default EST(-5), which will be 3 hours earlier if you live in CA (PST). Please check the time zone in your clock and adjust accordingly.

The "BP" means the beeping sound during the set up.  Some prefer each step beeps, while others prefer setting clock or alarm without noise.  Hence the "ON" or "OFF" options.

Thermometer

In general our sensor's signals may drop if the humidity is beyond the detection range (10%-90%). When this happens, it will display "HH" for higher than 90% and "LL" for lower than 10%. As long as they come back when humidity fall in between 10%-90%, it is considered normal. Otherwise, it may need a reset (reset button inside the battery compartment, or simply empty/re-insert batteries).

Please try the following steps:

  • Remove all batteries from the main device & the sensor.
  • Wait a minute or two, insert batteries to the main device first.
  • Then insert sensor batteries. You should notice the red light start blinking intermittently. Each time it blinks, it sends data to pair
  • Each time you change the sensor batteries, the main device also needs a reset to remove the older memory.
  • You may also long press the "CH" button (on some models) to force the two devices re-registered.

Weather Station

The remote sensor is designed to be weatherproof but not waterproof. Therefore we suggest placing it outdoor with a shelter. If leaving it in rain, water can get inside the battery compartment and leads to malfunction.

This condition only applies to the weather stations feature atomic clock function. The screen goes dark while it is in WWVA atomic receiving status. This weather station receives WWVB signals several times a day. The search for a radio signal lasts up to 7 minutes with the antenna symbol displaying on the screen. Meanwhile, the backlight brightness will automatically adjust to 3%. After the receiving completes, the brightness will go back to your default 100% or 50%, and all other functionalities resume.

The battery sign shows LOW may due to the following reasons:

1, if it is outdoor, then the sensor's batteries are getting low and need replacement

2, if it is indoor, there is a built-in cell battery under the backcover, it is not used to power the weather station, but to keep the data memorized should a power outage occur. The cell battery can also be easily replaced.

3, if your weather station is powered by batteries, and the battery-low-sign is indoor, you should also check the batteries from the rear compartment. This doesn't apply to all models.

This condition only applies to the weather stations feature atomic clock function. The RCC receiving function will set and adjust the time automatically daily. All you need to do is to choose the correct time zone. If not, the clock will always adjust time to the default time zone EST(-5), which will be 3 hours earlier if you live in CA (PST). Please check the time zone in your weather station and adjust accordingly.

Please try to see if the following helps:

  • Make sure all sensors are having good battery power (2xAA batteries for each sensor). Once correctly installed, there will be a red light flash intermittently (not regularly). It means the sensor is working.
  • On the weather station sidebar, locate the "CH" button, press & hold 3 seconds, then release. All channels receiving signals now should be flashing, and within a few minutes, the sensor data should come in the display. This serves as a forced re-registration.
  • If any channel is still not displaying after 10 minutes, empty the sensor's batteries, wait one minute and re-insert back. You will notice the red light immediately flash once upon installation complete, and it should sync to the main station right away.

If one or all channels are still not synced after the above three steps, then it may be something defective. Please contact our customer support team for help.

There are 3 sensors for 3 channel Weather Stations. Only the CH1 sensor is responsible for the outdoor weather forecast. Therefore, it is designed to be placed outdoor - hence the TREE symbol. The CH2 & CH3 sensors can be placed anywhere, either indoor or outdoor, and they will only display the temperature & humidity - hence the WATER DROPLET symbol. All three sensors are the same; just ensure that the sensor locks to CH1 is placed outdoors to ensure accurate weather forecasting.

The "BP" means the beeping sound during the set up.  Some prefer each step beeps, while others prefer setting clock or alarm without noise.  Hence the "ON" or "OFF" options.

Baldr weather stations were calibrated precisely at our manufacturing facility, which are designed to reflect the barometric pressure data in your location. The accuracy is around +/-5hpa.

In general, the air pressure is affected by altitude & other weather factors. The barometer pressure from websites often reflect the average level of the whole city , which can not be a good reference .
